AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00)
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary and storm sewers in Westview Drive and
Teasdale Avenue Sewers (95050), in the City of University City, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the
aforesaid sanitary and storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary and storm sewers is
Eighty-nine Thousand Five and 50/100 Dollars ($89,005.50), and the allowance for
construction change orders is Ten Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-four and 50/100 Dollars
($10,994.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Black Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary and storm sewers in
Westview Drive and Teasdale Avenue Sewers (95050), in the City of University City,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary
and storm sewers in Westview Drive and Teasdale Avenue Sewers (95050), in the City of
University City, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 16th day of July, 1997.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 11, 1997.
