HomeMy Public PortalAbout10187 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10187 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($410,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for the purchase of Horizontal and Vertical Sludge Conveyors as part of the Lemay Treatment Plant Sludge Process Improvements (95067), in St. Louis County, Missouri, and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with American Bulk Conveying System for the furnishing of the aforesaid Horizontal and Vertical Sludge Conveyors. WHEREAS, the bid for the furnishing of said Horizonal and Vertical Sludge Conveyors is Three Hundred Ninety-one Thousand Dollars ($391,000.00), and the allowance for change orders is Nineteen Thousand Dollars ($19,000.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($410,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for the purchase of Horizontal and Vertical Sludge Conveyors as part of the Lemay Treatment Plant Sludge Process Improvements (95067), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with American Bulk Conveying System as the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of Horizontal and Vertical Sludge Conveyors as part of the Lemay Treatment Plant Sludge Process Improvements (95067), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 15th day of July, 1997. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 11, 1997.
