HomeMy Public PortalAbout10188 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10188 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for the purchase of Sludge Bins and Live Bottom Screw Conveyors as part of the Lemay Treatment Plant Sludge Process Improvements (95067), in St. Louis County, Missouri, and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with American Bulk Conveying System for the furnishing of the aforesaid Sludge Bins and Live Bottom Screw Conveyors. WHEREAS, the bid for the furnishing of said Sludge Bins and Live Bottom Screw Conveyors is Three Hundred Thirty-one Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-three Dollars ($331,693.00), and the allowance for change orders is Eighteen Thousand Three Hundred Seven Dollars ($18,307.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for the purchase of Sludge Bins and Live Bottom Screw Conveyors as part of the Lemay Treatment Plant Sludge Process Improvements (95067), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with American Bulk Conveying System as the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of Sludge Bins and Live Bottom Screw Conveyors as part of the Lemay Treatment Plant Sludge Process Improvements (95067), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 26th day of May, 1997. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 11, 1997.
