AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,900,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of Lemay Service Area Overflow Regulation System, Middle River des Peres (L-
06A) Gate Modifications - Section A (94065A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Goodwin Bros. Construction Co. for the
construction of the aforesaid modifications.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said modifications is Two Million Six
Hundred Fifty-seven Thousand Dollars ($2,657,000.00), and the cost of utility relocations and
allowance for construction change orders is Two Hundred Forty-three Thousand Dollars
($243,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,900,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of Lemay Service Area Overflow Regulation System, Middle
River des Peres (L-06A) Gate Modifications - Section A (94065A), in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Goodwin Bros. Construction Co. the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of Lemay
Service Area Overflow Regulation System, Middle River des Peres (L-06A) Gate Modifications
- Section A (94065A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 28th day of August, 1997.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
