HomeMy Public PortalAbout10198 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10198 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($780,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in PB-03 Des Peres to Frederick Lane Sanitary Relief Phase III (92060), in the Cities of Glendale and Rock Hill, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Riverside Construction, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Seven Hundred Forty-one Thousand Six Hundred Forty-nine and 55/100 Dollars ($741,649.55), and the allowance for construction change orders is Thirty-eight Thousand Three Hundred Fifty and 45/100 Dollars ($38,350.45), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($780,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in PB-03 Des Peres to Frederick Lane Sanitary Relief Phase III (92060), in the Cities of Glendale and Rock Hill, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Riverside Construction, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in PB-03 Des Peres to Frederick Lane Sanitary Relief Phase III (92060), in the Cities of Glendale and Rock Hill, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 25th day of August, 1997. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 9, 1997.
