AN ORDINANCE, appropriating a total of Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($750,000.00), to be funded as follows: Five Hundred Eighty-five Thousand Dollars
($585,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Fountain Creek, and One Hundred Sixty-five Thousand Dollars ($165,000.00) from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek, to be used
for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Duquette-Capri Storm Sewer (88116),
in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Bates Utility Co., Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Seven Hundred
Fourteen Thousand One Hundred Ninety-two Dollars ($714,192.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders is Thirty-five Thousand Eight Hundred Eight Dollars ($35,808.00),
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The total sum of Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($750,000.00), to be funded as follows: Five Hundred Eighty-five Thousand Dollars
($585,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Fountain Creek, and One Hundred Sixty-five Thousand Dollars ($165,000.00) from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek is hereby
appropriated to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Duquette-
Capri Storm Sewer (88116),in the City of Florissant, Missouri;
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Bates Utility Co., Inc. for the construction of storm sewers in Duquette-Capri Storm Sewer
(88116), in the City of Florissant, Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,

pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of August, 1997.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 9, 1997.
