HomeMy Public PortalAbout10199 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10199 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating a total of Nine Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($935,000.00) to be funded as follows: Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($700,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec River Basin, and Two Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($235,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund, to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Fishpot Sanitary Relief Phase II (96030), in the Cities of Ballwin and Ellisville, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Millstone Bangert, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Eight Hundred Eighty-nine Thousand Three Hundred Eighteen and 40/100 Dollars ($889,318.40), and the allowance for construction change orders is Forty-five Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-one and 60/100 Dollars ($45,681.60), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The total sum of Nine Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars ($935,000.00), to be funded as follows: Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($700,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec River Basin, and Two Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($235,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund is hereby appropriated to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Fishpot Sanitary Relief Phase II (96030), in the Cities of Ballwin and Ellisville, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Millstone Bangert, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Fishpot Sanitary Relief Phase II (96030), in the Cities of Ballwin and Ellisville, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 27th day of August, 1997. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 9, 1997.
