O R D I N A N C E NO. 10279
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Sixty-five Thousand Dollars
($165,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in North Hanley-Meridian to Cler Sanitary Sewer (98044), in
the City of Bel-Ridge and unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Bi-State Utilities Co. for the construction of the aforesaid
sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Hundred
Fifty-six Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-one Dollars ($156,821.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders is Eight Thousand One Hundred Seventy-nine Dollars ($8,179.00),
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Sixty-five Thousand Dollars
($165,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in North Hanley-Meridian to Cler Sanitary
Sewer (98044), in the City of Bel-Ridge and unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Bi-State Utilities Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in
North Hanley-Meridian to Cler Sanitary Sewer (98044), in the City of Bel-Ridge and
unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 30th day of December, 1997.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 8, 1998.
