HomeMy Public PortalAbout10306 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10306 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to sell and convey to the City of Crestwood, Missouri, certain real property of the District located in the City of Crestwood, Missouri (District Site No. 44), and prescribing the terms of said transaction. WHEREAS, said real property is located at 8645 Pardee Road, in the City of Crestwood, Missouri and consists of 7.92 acres, and WHEREAS, the City of Crestwood desires to acquire said real property for use as a municipal facility, and WHEREAS, said real property is of no use to the District, and has been declared as surplus pursuant to Resolution No. 2254, adopted May 8, 1997, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to sell and convey to the City of Crestwood, Missouri certain real property of the District located in the City of Crestwood, Missouri for the total sale price of Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($230,000.00), said real property being described as follows: A tract of land in U.S. Survey 9, Township 44 North, Range 6 East and part of Lot 6 of the Wells tract, a plat of which is recorded in Plat Book 7, Page 26 of the records of the City (former County) of St. Louis, and part of Lot 1 of Kennedy Estate Partition of Lot 5 of the Subdivision of the Wells tract, all in St. Louis County, Missouri, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 7 of the Wells tract, being also the eastern line of Yorkshire Estates No. 20, a subdivision recorded in Plat Book 108, Pages 34 and 35 of the St. Louis County, Missouri Records; thence along said eastern line North 02 degrees 01 minutes East, 311.16 feet to a point; thence North 20 degrees 57 minutes West, 347.04 feet to a point being on the northern line of Yorkshire Estates No. 18, a subdivision recorded in Plat Book 104, Page 92 of the said County records; thence along said northern line North 44 degrees 31 minutes West, 251.62 feet to a point being on the eastern line Yorkshire Estates No. 16, a subdivision recorded in Plat Book 100, Book 61, of the said County records; thence along said eastern line North 10 degrees West, 112.20 feet to a point; thence North 37 degrees East, 143.63 feet to a point in the southern line of Pardee Road 40 feet wide; thence along said southern line South 50 degrees 50 minutes 46 seconds East, 723.79 feet to a point; thence leaving said southern line South 36 degrees 30 minutes 03 seconds West 21.74 feet to a point; thence South 07 degrees 49 minutes 59 seconds East, 177.05 feet to a point; thence South 09 degrees 23 minutes West, 198.50 feet to a point; thence South 15 degrees 01 minutes West, 137.10 feet to a point; -3- thence South 26 degrees 23 minutes West, 202.56 feet to a point; thence South 0 degrees 47 minutes East, 8.00 feet to a point; thence South 71 degrees 50 minutes West, 105.00 feet to a point; thence North 29 degrees 53 minutes West, 185.28 feet to the point of beginning, said tract containing 352,940 square feet or 8.10 acres, more or less, according to a survey by Kenneth Balk & Associates, Inc. during the month of June, 1997. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to execute and deliver a Special Warranty Deed and any other documents as approved by the office of the General Counsel of the District as may be necessary to effect the sale and conveyance of the real property as authorized in Section One above, and further to deposit the proceeds from said sale and conveyance in the Reserve for Real Property Purchase Improvement and Alterations Account. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 12, 1998.
