O R D I N A N C E NO. 10317
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating a total of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00),
to be funded as follows: One Million Three Hundred Fifty-eight Thousand Dollars
($1,358,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Gravois Creek and Six Hundred Forty-two Thousand Dollars ($642,000.00) from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund, to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary and storm
sewers in GC-12 & GC-13 Sanitary Relief and St. George Storm Channel Phase I (89144),
in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with JRW
Construction, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary and storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary and storm sewers is
One Million Eight Hundred Forty-five Thousand One Hundred Sixty-six and 17/100 Dollars
($1,845,166.17), and the cost of easement acquisition and the allowance for construction
change orders is One Hundred Fifty-four Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty-three and 83/100
Dollars ($154,833.83), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The total sum of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00), to be
funded as follows: One Million Three Hundred Fifty-eight Thousand Dollars ($1,358,000.00)
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek, and
Six Hundred Forty-two Thousand Dollars ($642,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund, is hereby appropriated to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary and
storm sewers in GC-12 & GC-13 Sanitary Relief and St. George Storm Channel Phase I
(89144), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
JRW Construction, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary and
storm sewers in GC-12 & GC-13 Sanitary Relief and St. George Storm Channel Phase I
(89144), in St. Louis, County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 17th day of February, 1998.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 9, 1998.
