HomeMy Public PortalAbout10318 O R D I N A N C E N O. 10318 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($575,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Ferguson Sanitary Relief (90021), in the City of Ferguson, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Five Hundred Forty-five Thousand Six Hundred Three and 05/100 Dollars ($545,603.05), and the allowance for construction change orders and other costs is Twenty-nine Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-six and 95/100 Dollars ($29,396.95), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($575,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Ferguson Sanitary Relief (90021), in the City of Ferguson, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Ferguson Sanitary Relief (90021), in the City of Ferguson, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 2nd day of March, 1998. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 9, 1998.
