HomeMy Public PortalAbout10340 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10340 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Six Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($1,625,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Grand Glaize Sanitary Relief Phase I (90079A), in the Cities of Manchester and Ballwin, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million Five Hundred Forty-three Thousand Eighty-two and 90/100 Dollars ($1,543,082.90), and the allowance for construction change orders is Eighty-one Thousand Nine Hundred Seventeen and 10/100 Dollars ($81,917.10), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Six Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($1,625,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Grand Glaize Sanitary Relief Phase I (90079A), in the Cities of Manchester and Ballwin, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Grand Glaize Sanitary Relief Phase I (90079A), in the Cities of Manchester and Ballwin, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 13th day of March, 1998. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 7, 1998.
