O R D I N A N C E NO. 10344
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Fifty-six Thousand Dollars
($456,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black
Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Oakbrook and
Delmar Storm Sewer (96078), in the City of University City, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. for the construction of
the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Four Hundred
Thirty-four Thousand Dollars ($434,000.00), and the allowance for construction change
orders is Twenty-two Thousand Dollars ($22,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Fifty-six Thousand Dollars
($456,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Black Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm
sewers in Oakbrook and Delmar Storm Sewer (96078), in the City of University City,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
J.H. Berra Construction, Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of
storm sewers in Oakbrook and Delmar Storm Sewer (96078), in the City of University City,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 30th day of March, 1998.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 7, 1998.
