O R D I N A N C E NO. 10358
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Forty-nine Thousand Dollars ($49,000.00) from
the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec River
Basin to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Pharoah Drive
Sanitary Relief (95058), in the City of Valley Park, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Bi-State Utilities Company for the construction of the aforesaid
sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Forty-six
Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-eight and 25/100 Dollars ($46,358.25), and the allowance for
construction change orders and other costs is Two Thousand Six Hundred Forty-one and
75/100 Dollars ($2,641.75), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Forty-nine Thousand Dollars ($49,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Lower
Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Pharoah Drive Sanitary Relief (95058), in the City of Valley Park, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Bi-State Utilities Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Pharoah Drive Sanitary Relief (95058), in the City of Valley Park, Missouri, with
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 15th
day of April, 1998.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 11, 1998.
