O R D I N A N C E NO. 10361
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars
($260,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Watkins Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Monticello-
Muriel Storm Sewer (90252), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the
aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Two Hundred
Forty-five Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-eight Dollars ($245,428.00), and the allowance
for construction change orders is Fourteen Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-two Dollars
($14,572.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($260,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund
of Watkins Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in
Monticello-Muriel Storm Sewer (90252), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
J.H. Berra Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of
storm sewers in Monticello-Muriel Storm Sewer (90252), in St. Louis County, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 23rd day of April, 1998.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 11, 1998.
