O R D I N A N C E NO. 10405
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating a total of Five Hundred Forty Thousand
Dollars ($540,000.00), to be funded as follows: Three Hundred Forty-five Thousand
Dollars ($345,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement
Fund of Paddock Creek and One Hundred Ninety-five Thousand Dollars ($195,000.00)
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Upper
Paddock Creek, to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Cranberry Court - Shepherd Drive Sanitary Relief (91097), in St. Louis County,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson
Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Five
Hundred Thirteen Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-eight Dollars ($513,568.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-six Thousand Four Hundred
Thirty-two Dollars ($26,432.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The total sum of Five Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars
($540,000.00), to be funded as follows: Three Hundred Forty-five Thousand Dollars
($345,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund
of Paddock Creek, and One Hundred Ninety-five Thousand Dollars ($195,000.00) from
the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Upper Paddock
Creek, is hereby appropriated to be used for project costs for the construction of
sanitary sewers in Cranberry Court - Shepherd Drive Sanitary Relief (91097), in St.
Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Cranberry Court - Shepherd Drive
Sanitary Relief (91097), in St. Louis, County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 1st day of July,
1998.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
