HomeMy Public PortalAbout10406 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10406 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in GC-13 Gravois Creek to Lemona Drive Sanitary Relief (90030), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million Three Hundred Fourteen Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-eight and 40/100 Dollars ($1,314,478.40), and the allowance for construction change orders is Eighty-five Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-one and 60/100 Dollars ($85,521.60), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in GC-13 Gravois Creek to Lemona Drive Sanitary Relief (90030), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in GC-13 Gravois Creek to Lemona Drive Sanitary Relief (90030), in St. Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 6th day of July, 1998. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 13, 1998.
