O R D I N A N C E NO. 10407
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Two Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($2,250,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-09 Fee Fee Creek Sanitary
Relief L-51 (P-718) Phase I (89138A), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment
Co. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Two
Million One Hundred Twenty-seven Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-one Dollars
($2,127,621.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred
Twenty-two Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-nine Dollars ($122,379.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Two Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($2,250,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to
be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-09 Fee Fee Creek
Sanitary Relief L-51 (P-718) Phase I (89138A), in the City of Maryland Heights,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Karsten Equipment Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in FF-09 Fee Fee Creek Sanitary Relief L-51 (P-718)
Phase I (89138A), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri, with The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 8th day of July,
1998.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 13, 1998.
