HomeMy Public PortalAbout10413 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10413 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Jennings Station Rd. 1200 Block Sanitary Relief (87085), in the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million Four Hundred Thirteen Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-five Dollars ($1,413,975.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Eighty-six Thousand Twenty-five Dollars ($86,025.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Jennings Station Rd. 1200 Block Sanitary Relief (87085)), in the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Jennings Station Rd. 1200 Block Sanitary Relief (87085) in the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of August, 1998. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 13, 1998.
