HomeMy Public PortalAbout10424 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10424 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($340,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Lemay North (L-10A) Lining of Sewers with Shotcrete (96056A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Affholder, Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Lemay North Shotcrete Lining is Three Hundred Nineteen Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($319,900.00) and the allowance for change orders is Twenty Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($20,100.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($340,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Lemay North (L- 10A) Lining of Sewers with Shotcrete (96056A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Affholder, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Lemay North (L-10A) Lining of Sewers with Shotcrete (96056A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 23rd day of July, 1998. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 10, 1998 by the following vote – Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, P.P. Finn, C.D. Seward, M.C. Williams, and G. J. Sheffield. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
