AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars
($230,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Becker & Telegraph (Subdistrict No. 97005) 97005,
in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Truss Brothers Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the
aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One
Hundred Seventy-two Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-one Dollars($172,391.00), the
allowance for construction change orders, and cost of processing and administration of
tax bills is Fifty-seven Thousand Six Hundred Nine Dollars ($57,609.00), and
WHEREAS, proceedings have been taken for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Becker & Telegraph (Subdistrict No. 97005) 97005, and Two Hundred Thirty
Thousand Dollars ($230,000.00) of said construction costs will be paid for by special tax
bills or other evidence of special benefit assessments upon the land benefited by such
improvement.
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:

Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars
($230,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Becker & Telegraph (Subdistrict No.
97005) 97005, in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Truss Brothers Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Becker & Telegraph (Subdistrict No.
97005) 97005, in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 4th day of September, 1998.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 10, 1998 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, P.P. Finn, C.D. Seward, M.C. Williams, and G. J. Sheffield.
Nays – None.
