HomeMy Public PortalAbout10444 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10444 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($425,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Burns & Tennyson Phase II Storm Sewer (97019), in the City of Overland, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Four Hundred Four Thousand Four Hundred Nineteen and 90/100 Dollars ($404,419.90), and the allowance for construction change orders is Twenty Thousand Five Hundred Eighty and 10/100 Dollars ($20,580.10), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($425,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Burns & Tennyson Phase II Storm Sewer (97019), in the City of Overland, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Burns & Tennyson Phase II Storm Sewer (97019), in the City of Overland, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 27th day of August, 1998. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 8, 1998 by the following vote – Ayes – C. L. Barnhart, P.P. Finn, C.D. Seward, M.C. Williams, and G. J. Sheffield. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
