AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Seventeen Thousand
Dollars ($217,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs
for the construction of sanitary sewers in Suson Way Court and Wells Road Sanitary
Relief (94067), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Riverside Construction, Inc. for the construction of the
aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Two
Hundred Six Thousand Two Hundred One and 75/100 Dollars ($206,201.75), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Ten Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-eight
and 25/100 Dollars ($10,798.25), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Seventeen Thousand Dollars
($217,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Suson Way Court and Wells
Road Sanitary Relief (94067), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Riverside Construction, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Suson Way Court and Wells Road Sanitary Relief
(94067), in St. Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 9th day of November, 1998.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 10, 1998 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, J.W. Siscel, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, G.J. Sheffield, and M.C.
Willaims.
