HomeMy Public PortalAbout10493 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10493 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($360,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Maline Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Carson Villa Woods Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Phase IA (89176A), in the City of Berkeley, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Construction, Co., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Three Hundred Thirty-nine Thousand Six Hundred Seventy Dollars ($339,670.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Twenty Thousand Three Hundred Thirty Dollars ($20,330.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($360,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Maline Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Carson Villa Woods Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Phase IA (89176A), in the City of Berkeley, Missouri. 2 Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Carson Villa Woods Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Phase IA (89176A), in the City of Berkeley, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 7th day of December, 1998. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 10, 1998by the following vote – Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, J.W. Siscel, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, G.J. Sheffield, and M.C. Willaims. Nays – None.
