AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars
($900,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for engineering services for the
Separate Sewer Overflow Control Plan; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer to enter into Amendment No. 6 to Contract E-735 with Burns &
McDonnell for the aforesaid services.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 8596, adopted February 12, 1992 appropriated
the initial funding for and authorized Contract E-735, and
WHEREAS, the estimated fee for said engineering services is Seven
Hundred Sixty Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($760,600.00), the cost of software
modifications is Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00), the cost of leasing flow
monitors is Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00) and the allowance for changes
in scope is Forty-four Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($44,400.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars ($900,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for engineering services
for the Separate Sewer Overflow Control Plan.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized to enter into Amendment No. 6 to Contract E-735 with Burns & McDonnell
for engineering services for the Separate Sewer Overflow Control Plan; said
amendment to be comprised of such terms and conditions as are approved by the office
of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 11, 1999 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, P.P. Finn, C.D. Seward, M.C. Williams, and J.W. Siscel.
Nays – None.
