HomeMy Public PortalAbout10536 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10536 AN ORDINANCE, transferring the remaining fund balance and related future revenues of the Spanish Lake Operating Fund to the Sanitary Replacement Fund, and appropriating One Million Seven Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($1,740,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for the construction of sanitary sewers in Larimore Sanitary Relief (90124), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Co., Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million Six Hundred Fifty-five Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-one Dollars ($1,655,561.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Eighty-four Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-nine Dollars ($84,439.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The remaining fund balance and related future revenues of the Spanish Lake Operating Fund are hereby transferred to the Sanitary Replacement Fund, and the sum of One Million Seven Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($1,740,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for the construction of sanitary sewers in Larimore Sanitary Relief (90124), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Larimore Sanitary Relief (90124), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 3rd day of March, 1999. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 11, 1999 by the following vote – Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, P.P. Finn, C.D. Seward, M.C. Williams, and J.W. Siscel. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
