AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($250,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund
of Sugar Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in
Corona Park Storm Sewer Phase IIA (96053), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bi-State Utilities
Company for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Two
Hundred Thirty-three Thousand Two Hundred Eighty-five Dollars ($233,285.00), and
the cost of easement acquisition and allowance for construction change orders is
Sixteen Thousand Seven Hundred Fifteen Dollars ($16,715.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($250,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Corona Park Storm Sewer Phase IIA (96053), in the
City of Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Bi-State Utilities Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of storm sewers in Corona Park Storm Sewer Phase IIA (96053), in the
City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 26th day of
February, 1999.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 15, 1999 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, J.W. Siscel, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, G.J. Sheffield, and M.C.
Williams.
Nays – None.
