AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Eighty Thousand
Dollars ($380,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs
for the construction of sanitary sewers in Yaeger and Chatfield Sanitary Relief (97022)
in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with JRW Construction, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary
sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Three
Hundred Sixty Thousand Four Hundred Eighty-nine and 28/100 Dollars ($360,489.28),
and the allowance for construction change orders is Nineteen Thousand Five Hundred
Ten and 72/100 Dollars ($19,510.72), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars
($380,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Yaeger and Chatfield
Sanitary Relief (97022), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with JRW Construction, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Yaeger and Chatfield Sanitary Relief (97022), in St.
Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 5th day of March, 1999.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 15, 1999 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, J.W. Siscel, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, G.J. Sheffield, and M.C.
Williams.
