AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Seventy-five Thousand
Dollars ($175,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs
for the construction of sanitary sewers in Bluebird-Aspen Sanitary Relief (94115), in
the City of Florissant,, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary
sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One
Hundred Sixty-four Thousand One Hundred Eleven and 65/100 Dollars ($164,111.65),
and the allowance for construction change orders is Ten Thousand Eight Hundred
Eighty-eight and 35/100 Dollars ($10,888.35), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars
($175,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Bluebird-Aspen Sanitary
Relief (94115), in the City of Florissant, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Bluebird-Aspen Sanitary Relief (94115), in the City
of Florissant, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 11th day of March, 1999.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 15, 1999 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, J.W. Siscel, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, G.J. Sheffield, and M.C.
Williams.
Nays – None.
