AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million One Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($2,150,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Lynn Haven Sanitary Relief
Phase II-B (89101B), in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the
construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Two
Million Twenty-two Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-nine Dollars ($2,022,969.00), and
the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Twenty-seven Thousand
Thirty-one Dollars ($127,031.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million One Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($2,150,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to
be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Lynn Haven
Sanitary Relief Phase II-B (89101B), in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri.

Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Lynn Haven Sanitary Relief Phase II-B (89101B), in
the City of Hazelwood, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 23rd day of April, 1999.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 15, 1999 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, G.J. Sheffield, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, J.W. Siscel, and M.C.
Williams.
Nays – None.
