HomeMy Public PortalAbout10585 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10585 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($115,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the Seminary Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in St. Charles & Wilshusen Storm Sewer (97034), in the City of Shrewsbury, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Dizdar Brothers Sewer & Construction for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is One Hundred Eight Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-two Dollars ($108,862.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Six Thousand One Hundred Thirty-eight Dollars ($6,138.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($115,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the Seminary Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in St. Charles & Wilshusen Storm 2 Sewer (97034), in the City of Shrewsbury, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Dizdar Brothers Sewer & Construction as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in St. Charles & Wilshusen Storm Sewer (97034), in the City of Shrewsbury, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of May, 1999. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 15, 1999 by the following vote – Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, G.J. Sheffield, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
