AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00)
from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of
the Lemay Service Area ORS Middle River des Peres (L-07A1) Lining of Sewers with
Shotcrete - Phase II (98049A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Superior Gunite for the aforesaid
construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Middle River des Peres
Shotcrete Lining is One Million Nine Hundred Eighty-Nine Thousand Forty-One
Dollars ($1,989,041.00) and the allowance for change orders is One Hundred Nine
Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-Nine Dollars ($109,959.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Middle River des Peres (L-07A1) Lining of
Sewers with Shotcrete - Phase II (98049A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby

authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Superior Gunite as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of
the Lemay Service Area ORS Middle River des Peres (L-07A1) Lining of Sewers with
Shotcrete - Phase II (98049A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 27th day of May, 1999.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 5, 1999 by the following vote –
Ayes – G.J. Sheffield, C.D. Seward, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
