AN ORDINANCE, appropriating a total of One Million Two Hundred Two
Thousand Dollars ($1,202,000.00), to be funded as follows: Three Hundred Twenty-five
Thousand Dollars ($325,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Clayton Central, and Eight Hundred Seventy-seven Thousand
Dollars ($877,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund, to be used for project costs
for the construction of sanitary sewers in East Clayton Central Sewer Phase VI -
Section C (94095C), in the City of Clayton, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with JRW Construction, Inc. for the construction of the
aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One
Million One Hundred Forty-four Thousand Three Hundred Fifty and 48/100 Dollars
($1,144,350.48), and the allowance for construction change orders is Fifty-seven
Thousand Six Hundred Forty-nine and 52/100 Dollars ($57,649.52), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The total sum of One Million Two Hundred Two Thousand
Dollars ($1,202,000.00) to be funded as follows: Three Hundred Twenty-five Thousand
Dollars ($325,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement
Fund of Clayton Central, and Eight Hundred Seventy-seven Thousand Dollars
($877,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund, is hereby appropriated to be used
for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in East Clayton Central Sewer
Phase VI-Section C (94095C), in the City of Clayton, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with JRW Construction, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in East Clayton Central Sewer Phase VI - Section C
(94095C), in the City of Clayton, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the
29th day of July, 1999.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 5, 1999 by the following vote –
Ayes – G.J. Sheffield, C.D. Seward, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
