AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Seven Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($1,700,000.00) from the Caulks Creek Construction Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repair #087P (Caulks
Creek "A" (P-750) Phase I (93077A), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment
Company for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid sanitary sewers is One Million Six
Hundred Five Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-five Dollars ($1,605,885.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Ninety-four Thousand One Hundred
Fifteen Dollars ($94,115.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,700,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Caulks Creek Construction Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repair
#087P (Caulks Creek "A" (P-750) Phase I (93077A), in the City of Maryland Heights,
Missouri.

Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repair #087P (Caulks Creek "A" (P-
750) Phase I (93077A), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri, with The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the
30th day of June, 1999.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 9, 1999 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, G.J. Sheffield, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, and M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
