HomeMy Public PortalAbout10613 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10613 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Six Thousand Dollars ($106,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction a gabion wall and appurtenances in Shady Grove South Channel Improvement (98042), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid gabion wall and appurtenances. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said gabion wall and appurtenances is One Hundred Thousand Six Hundred Forty-five and 75/100 Dollars ($100,645.75), and the allowance for construction change orders is Five Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-four and 25/100 Dollars ($5,354.25), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Six Thousand Dollars ($106,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of a gabion wall and appurtenances in Shady Grove South Channel 2 Improvement (98042), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of a gabion wall and appurtenances in Shady Grove South Channel Improvement (98042), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 22nd day of July, 1999. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 9, 1999 by the following vote – Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, G.J. Sheffield, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
