HomeMy Public PortalAbout10632 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10632 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating a total of One Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,800,000.00), to be funded as follows: One Million One Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($1,175,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek and Six Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($625,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund, to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary and storm sewers in GC-12 & GC-13 Sanitary Relief and St. George Storm Channel Phase II (89144B), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Mulligan Construction, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary and storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary and storm sewers is One Million Six Hundred Forty-one Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-eight and 60/100 Dollars ($1,641,388.60), and the cost of wetlands mitigation and the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Fifty-eight Thousand Six Hundred Eleven and 40/100 Dollars ($158,611.40), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The total sum of One Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,800,000.00), to be funded as follows: One Million One Hundred Seventy- five Thousand Dollars ($1,175,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek, and Six Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($625,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund, is hereby appropriated to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary and storm sewers in GC-12 & GC-13 Sanitary Relief and St. George Storm Channel Phase II (89144B), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Mulligan Construction, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary and storm sewers in GC-12 & GC-13 Sanitary Relief and St. George Storm Channel Phase II (89144B), in St. Louis, County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 5th day of August, 1999. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 14, 1999 by the following vote – Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, P.P. Finn, C.D. Seward, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
