HomeMy Public PortalAbout10646 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10646 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($650,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in LC-02 Ripa-Meadow to Broadway Sanitary Relief (90057), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Six Hundred Sixteen Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-seven Dollars ($616,987.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Thirty-three Thousand Thirteen Dollars ($33,013.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($650,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in LC-02 Ripa-Meadow to Broadway Sanitary Relief (90057), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in LC-02 Ripa-Meadow to Broadway Sanitary Relief (90057), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 15th day of September, 1999. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 4, 1999 by the following vote – Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, P.P. Finn, C.D. Seward, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
