HomeMy Public PortalAbout10647 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10647 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($240,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in GC-15 Del Vista to Yorkshire Estates Sanitary Relief (90031), in the City of Crestwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Hundred Eighty-seven Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-nine and 60/100 Dollars ($187,579.60), and the allowance for construction change orders and other charges is Fifty-two Thousand Four Hundred Twenty and 40/100 Dollars ($52,420.40), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($240,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in GC-15 Del Vista to Yorkshire Estates Sanitary Relief (90031), in the City of Crestwood, Missouri. 2 Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in GC-15 Del Vista to Yorkshire Estates Sanitary Relief (90031), in the City of Crestwood, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of September, 1999. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 4, 1999 by the following vote – Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, P.P. Finn, C.D. Seward, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
