AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Seventy-five Thousand
Dollars ($775,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs
for the construction of sanitary sewers in GC-14 Gravois Creek Sanitary Relief (89145)
in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. for the construction of the aforesaid
sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Seven
Hundred Thirty-four Thousand Eight Hundred Twelve Dollars ($734,812.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Forty Thousand One Hundred Eighty-eight
Dollars ($40,188.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars
($775,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in GC-14 Gravois Creek
Sanitary Relief (89145), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in GC-14 Gravois Creek Sanitary Relief (89145), in
Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 22nd day of September, 1999.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 4, 1999 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, P.P. Finn, C.D. Seward, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
