HomeMy Public PortalAbout10656 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10656 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Valley Park Levee Sewer Upgrade (P-21241)(99143), in the City of Valley Park, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Two Hundred Eighty-four Thousand Five Hundred Ninety-two Dollars ($284,592.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Fifteen Thousand Four Hundred Eight Dollars ($15,408.00), and WHEREAS, the City of Valley Park, Missouri has agreed to contribute a portion of the costs of said construction; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the Improvement Fund, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the 2 construction of sanitary sewers in Valley Park Levee Sewer Upgrade (P-21241)(99143), in the City of Valley Park, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Valley Park Levee Sewer Upgrade (P-21241)(99143), in the City of Valley Park, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 1st day of November, 1999. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 4, 1999 by the following vote – Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, P.P. Finn, C.D. Seward, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
