AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Fifty-five Thousand
Dollars ($455,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement
Fund of Gravois Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers
in Denny Road and Lindbergh Storm Sewer (97029), in the City of Sunset Hills,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall
Construction Co., Ltd. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Four
Hundred Thirty-three Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-six Dollars ($433,256.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-one Thousand Seven Hundred
Forty-four Dollars ($21,744.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Fifty-five Thousand Dollars
($455,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Denny Road and Lindbergh Storm Sewer (97029), in
the City of Sunset Hills, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Unnerstall Construction Co., Ltd. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of storm sewers in Denny Road and Lindbergh Storm Sewer (97029), in
the City of Sunset Hills, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 8th day
of November, 1999.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 6, 2000 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, C.D. Sewrd, G. J. Sheffield, and P.P. Finn.
Nays – None.
