AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars
($490,000.00) from the General Fund of the District for professional consulting services
to implement workforce management process improvement recommendations as
detailed in the District=s recent management audit; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with O=Leary, Brokaw & Associates, Inc. and Hicks-
Carter-Hicks, L.L.C. for said professional consulting services.
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars
($490,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund of the District for
professional consulting services to implement workforce management process
improvement recommendations as detailed in the District=s recent management audit.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with O=Leary, Brokaw & Associates, Inc. and Hicks-Carter-Hicks, L.L.C. for
professional services to implement workforce management process improvement
recommendations as detailed in the District=s recent management audit.
Section Three. The contract authorized in Section One of this ordinance
shall provide for an initial term of one (1) year, with two (2) additional one year
extension periods to be exercised at the option of the District, and such other terms and
conditions as are approved by the office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 6, 2000 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, C.D. Sewrd, G. J. Sheffield, and P.P. Finn.
Nays – None.
