AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Two Hundred Fifty-four
Thousand One Hundred Eighty-four Dollars ($1,254,184.00) from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund for the purchase and demolition of certain real property in the City
of St. Louis, Missouri, known and numbered as 3008, 3010, 3014, 3016, 3018, 3020,
3024, 3026, 3028, 3030, 3034, 3040 and 3042 Semple Avenue; 3009, 3015, 3017,
3019, 3023, 3029, 3033, 3035, 3039, 3041 and 3045 Arlington Avenue; 3100, 3101,
3102, 3105, 3106, 3107, 3108, 3109, 3111, 3113, 3116 and 3118 Kimberly Avenue,
5343 Greer Avenue, for flood mitigation purposes; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to purchase said real property.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Two Hundred Fifty-four Thousand
One Hundred Eighty-four Dollars ($1,254,184.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Sanitary Replacement Fund for the purchase and demolition of certain real property in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri, known and numbered as 3008, 3010, 3014, 3016,
3018, 3020, 3024, 3026, 3028 and 3030, 3034, 3040 and 3042 Semple Avenue; 3009,
3015, 3017, 3019, 3023, 3029, 3033, 3035, 3039, 3041 and 3045 Arlington Avenue;
3100, 3101, 3102, 3105, 3106, 3107, 3108, 3109, 3111, 3113, 3116 and 3118
Kimberly Avenue, 5343 Greer Avenue, for flood mitigation purposes.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to purchase and
demolish certain real property in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, known and numbered
as 3008, 3010, 3014, 3016, 3018, 3020, 3024, 3026, 3028 and 3030, 3034, 3040, and
3042 Semple Avenue; 3009, 3015, 3017, 3019, 3023, 3029, 3033, 3035, 3039, 3041
and 3045 Arlington Avenue; 3100, 3101, 3102, 3105, 3106, 3107, 3108, 3109, 3111,
3113, 3116 and 3118 Kimberly Avenue, 5343 Greer Avenue, for flood mitigation
purposes, for the total purchase price not to exceed One Million Two Hundred Fifty-
four Thousand One Hundred Eighty-four Dollars ($1,254,184.00).
Section Three. Upon the execution and delivery to the District of a
General Warranty Deed in proper form conveying title to the above-described real
property to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized to pay to the respective grantors a total
sum not to exceed One Million Two Hundred Fifty-four Thousand One Hundred
Eighty-four Thousand Dollars ($1,254,184.00) for said real property.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 10, 2000 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, P.P. Finn, C.D. Seward, G.J. Sheffield, J.W. Siscel, and M.C.
Williams.
Nays – None.
