AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Fifteen Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($115,500.00) from the General Fund of the District for the
development and implementation of a Diversity in the Workplace training program for
all District employees; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Sandra Steen & Associates, Inc. for the development and implementation of said
program.
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Fifteen Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($115,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund of the District for
the development and implementation of a Diversity in the Workplace training program
for all District employees.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Sandra Steen & Associates, Inc. whereby Sandra Steen & Associates, Inc.
will develop and implement a Diversity in the Workplace training program for all
District employees.
Section Three. The contract authorized in Section One of this ordinance
shall be comprised of such terms and conditions as are approved by the office of the
General Counsel of the District.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 10, 2000 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, P.P. Finn, C.D. Seward, G.J. Sheffield, J.W. Siscel, and M.C.
Williams.
Nays – None.
