HomeMy Public PortalAbout10704 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10704 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Ninety-three Thousand Dollars ($93,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Sedwick and McKnight Storm Channel (DCBC-110) (98051), in the City of Ladue, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Seals Enterprises, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Eighty-four Thousand Three Hundred Fifteen and 65/100 Dollars ($84,315.65), and the allowance for construction change orders is Eight Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-four and 35/100 Dollars ($8,684.35), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Ninety-three Thousand Dollars ($93,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Sedwick and McKnight Storm Channel (DCBC-110)(98051), in the City of Ladue, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Seals Enterprises, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Sedwick and McKnight Storm Channel (DCBC- 110)(98051), in the City of Ladue, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 7th day of January, 2000. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 24, 2000 by the following vote – Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
