HomeMy Public PortalAbout10706 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10706 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,750,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in DC-01 Creve Coeur Frontenac Sanitary Relief Phase I (90016), in the Cities of Frontenac and Ladue, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million Five Hundred Eighty-five Thousand Four Hundred Eighty Dollars ($1,585,480.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Sixty-four Thousand Five Hundred Twenty Dollars ($164,520.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Seven Hundred Fifty-Thousand Dollars ($1,750,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in DC-01 Creve Coeur Frontenac Sanitary Relief Phase I (90016), in the Cities of Frontenac and Ladue, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in DC-01 Creve Coeur Frontenac Sanitary Relief Phase I (90016), in the Cities of Frontenac and Ladue, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 19th day of January, 2000. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 24, 2000 by the following vote – Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
