AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Three Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($1,300,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in St. Gemme Sanitary Relief
Phase II-Sec. B-3 (91050C), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for
the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One
Million Two Hundred Twenty-eight Thousand One Hundred Eighty-nine Dollars
($1,228,189.00), and the cost of easement acquisition and allowance for
construction change orders is Seventy-one Thousand Eight Hundred Eleven
Dollars ($71,811.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Three Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($1,300,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in St.
Gemme Sanitary Relief Phase II-Sec. B-3 (91050C), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of sanitary sewers in St. Gemme Sanitary Relief Phase II-Sec.
B-3 (91050C), in St. Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 8th day of March,
2000.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 13, 2000 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.L. Barnhart, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, J.W. Siscel, and M.C.
Williams.
Nays – None.
