AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eight Hundred Fifty-five Thousand
Dollars ($855,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot East Sanitary Relief Phase I (90022A), in St.
Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Karsten Equipment Company for the construction of the aforesaid
sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Seven
Hundred Ninety-seven Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-seven and 20/100 Dollars
($797,657.20), and the cost of easement acquisition and allowance for construction
change orders is Sixty-seven Thousand Three Hundred Forty-two and 80/100 Dollars
($67,342.80), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eight Hundred Fifty-five Thousand Dollars
($855,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot East Sanitary Relief Phase I
(90022A), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot East Sanitary Relief Phase I (90022A), in St.
Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 29th day of March, 2000.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 11, 2000 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, J.W. Siscel, M.C.
Williams.
Nays – None.
