HomeMy Public PortalAbout10759 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10759 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Four Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($1,425,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Carson Villa Woods Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Phase IB (89176B), in the Cities of Berkeley and BelRidge, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million Three Hundred Forty-four Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-one Dollars ($1,344,751.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Eighty Thousand Two Hundred Forty-nine Dollars ($80,249.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Four Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($1,425,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Carson Villa Woods Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Phase IB (89176B), in the Cities of Berkeley and BelRidge, Missouri. 2 Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Carson Villa Woods Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Phase IB (89176B), in the Cities of Berkeley and BelRidge, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 7th day of April, 2000. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 11, 2000 by the following vote – Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, J.W. Siscel, M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
