HomeMy Public PortalAbout10760 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10760 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,400,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Kortwright-Warson Place Storm Sewer Phase I (97009A), in the City of Ladue, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Affholder, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Three Million One Hundred Ninety-three Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-six Dollars ($3,193,766.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Two Hundred Six Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-four Dollars ($206,234.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Kortwright-Warson Place Storm Sewer Phase I (97009A), the City of Ladue, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Affholder, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Kortwright-Warson Place Storm Sewer Phase I (97009A), in the City of Ladue, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of April 2000. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 11, 2000 by the following vote – Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, J.W. Siscel, M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
